Clabane Eczema Care Moisturising Cream

There is a lot that shea butter can do; it has antimicrobial properties, is an antioxidant, and has been shown to boost collagen production. However, let’s focus on shea’s work as an emollient.

An emollient is a substance used to soften and moisturize the skin. Emollients form an oil layer on top of the skin which helps to ‘lock in’ or trap water in the skin. They are effective when treating dry skin, diaper rash, itchy skin, flaky skin, and conditions such as eczema. Other common emollients in skin care include, dimethicone, petrolatum, and mineral oil.  

Shea butter works well for most skin types but those with oily acne-prone skin should avoid it altogether or minimize use.
